Emerging from San Francisco, CA in mid-2007, Rockfight is John Collins (lead vocals), Justin King (guitar/backup vocals), Rob Britt (bass/backup vocals) and Kent Matson (drums). Rockfight's sound blends 80's and early 90's hardcore punk with refreshing shout-out chorus hooks. John and Justin, raised and relocating from the east coast, join Bay Area natives Kent and Rob to take influence and inspiration from both coastal scenes. Short, fast tracks flawlessly meld John's effusive vocal style with the band's aggressive, to-the-point rhythmic strikes, leaving a feeling of invigoration. With lyrical wit and sarcasm that encompasses the world around them, their debut self-titled demo (recorded April, 2008 at PopSmear Studios in San Rafael, CA) brings the listener close in tune with what hardcore punk is all about. On the strength of the band's energetic performances, Rockfight appeals to both punk and non-punk fans alike.
